Underground Comedy Presents: Drew Michael
Drew Michael is a New York-based comic. He has written for Saturday Night Live, guest starred in The Carmichael Show, recorded a stand-up special for Comedy Central's The Half Hour as well as two full-length stand-up albums: Lovely and Funny to Death. In addition to other clubs around the country he is regular at the Comedy Cellar, Carolines, Gotham, The Stand, New York Comedy Club, and Stand Up New York. He has performed at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, the Oddball Festival, and won the Laughing Devil Festival competition. He has also opened in arenas and theaters for Aziz Ansari and Hannibal Buress. TimeOut Chicago says he is "smart, funny, and unabashedly crass."
Every other week Underground Comedy will bring the best young comics from around the country to DC's Drafthouse Comedy Theater. Located at 1100 13th St NW, the entrance is on L Street Between 13th and 14th Street. It is styled after a black box arts theater and offers beer, wine, liquor, and some pre-packaged snacks in the lobby. There are no minimum purchase requirements for patrons and no table-side service.
